GOLF COURSE INAUGURATED AT I2TB SONEPAT

A Two-day Sports Fest kick started at the International Institute of Technology and Bussiness (I2TB), Sonepat with all fanfare and festivities.
The programmed was inaugurated with the lightning of Deepshikha by Mr. A.K. Mishra, Zonal Manager CBI, speaking on the Importance
of sports he said that Sport activities are essential for the all round development of personality. He emphasized that Sports not only keeps
you fit but also develops group culture, endurance, leadership and disciplined. It also helps to keep your nerves cool and develop caliber to
manage your stress in difficult times. He announced support of central bank for the education loan to all I2TB students, which was appreciated by students with clapping.
Director Dr. Rakesh Ranjan in his speech also encouraged students to participate in the sports and declared that
the Institute will organize IPL (Institute Premier League) in September 2010 .In this tournament students from other
Technical Institution will also participate. The announcement was greeted with uproar and pleasure on the face of students was obvious.
After Inauguration of the sports fest Golf course was declared open by taking first stroke by the chief guest.
The Golf course is said to first among Engg colleges in haryana and very few in India as far as Engg Institutions are concerned.
He took rounds of the other sport facilities available in the Institute and said that the sport facilities in the
Institute are of International level and truly define the name
of Institute as “International”. Students participated with complete enthusiasm .On the whole it was a wonderful event.
The highlight of the day was the inauguration of a golf course in the institute’s premises. Besides the inauguration of Golf
Course the final of Cricket match was also held .Interdepartmental Volley Ball Competition also commenced.
There was a final of Snooper and Street Soccer Tournament and 100mtr Athletics Race. In short it was the beginning of a complete “Sports fest”.
